KITCHEN REMODEL
The existing cabinetry and countertops were removed. New, solid wood cabinets with painted fronts and hardware were installed with quartz counters and a marble backsplash.
Before: the kitchen was dark, and had too few drawers. The sink was shallow and undersized for a family.
After: Windows received matching millwork. Countertops have pop-up power outlets.

PORCH REPAIRS
The existing wood beams and columns were difficult to maintain in the desert sun. A structural engineer was consulted, and the beams were replaced with site built steel tubes. This also allowed for the removal of several columns, opening up the views.
Existing round wood posts with stucco bases concealed damage.
Steel installed, concrete poured back, stucco patches done.
Existing porch design included wood corbels, typical in a traditional Spanish style home.
The corbels were replaced inside the walls with spacer plates for a modern look.
Existing window was blocked by the column.
Column removed, ready for paint.
